Bio
Adolf Weinacker attended Michigan State University in 1947 - 1951. He
was a three sport athlete: as a member of the swim team (fall 1946), the
cross country team (fall 1946) and the indoor/outdoor track team
(1947-1951).
In Weinacker had to hitchhike to get to the national championships. Once
there, he was seven (yes, that is not a typo - it is seven) National
Championships in walking (15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 50 km walks)!.
Weinacker was on the U.S. Olympic Team for the 50KM walk in 1948,
1952 and 1956 and placed 7th in the 50KM walk at the 1956 Olympic
Games.
Weinacker graduated from MSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1951.
He currently is a small animal pracctitioner in Detroit. Weinacker is an
interim Board Member of the MSU Finish Line Club.
